Do I need internet to run TKD Command?
No. Both Ring Manager and Director run entirely on your local network. A standard Wi-Fi router at the venue is all you need — no internet connection required. This means the software works reliably even at venues with poor or no cellular service.
How do referee tablets connect to Ring Manager?
Tablets running the TKD Command referee app scan a QR code shown in the Referees Setup screen. The QR code encodes the ring server's local network address. Once scanned, the tablet connects automatically and prompts for the referee PIN. No IP addresses or manual setup needed.
How many judges are required for a score to register?
This is configurable in Game Options under "Judges required for a point." The default is 2 judges must agree within the judging window (default 1000ms) for a score to commit. You can set it to 1 for single-judge rings or higher for larger panels.
Can I run multiple rings simultaneously?
Yes — you can run as many rings as you have PCs for. Each Ring Manager instance runs on its own computer and handles its own match, judges, and display independently. Director monitors all of them from a single laptop via local network auto-discovery.
What operating systems does TKD Command support?
Both Ring Manager and Director run on Windows 10+ and macOS 12+. The referee tablet app runs on Android and iOS.
How do I set up tournament branding on the display?
In Ring Manager, go to Configuration → Server Preferences. Enter your tournament name, optional tagline, and upload a logo (PNG with transparent background works best). The branding appears immediately in the broadcast display header — no restart required.
Does Ring Manager support both sparring and poomsae?
Yes. Ring Manager supports full sparring mode (multi-round, gam-jeom, sudden victory, golden score) and sport poomsae mode (presentation scoring, technical deductions, accuracy scoring, panel averaging with high/low dropped). Switch between modes in Game Options per ring.
How do I import athletes into Director?
Director accepts a CSV import with athlete name, age, belt rank, and school/club. The system auto-assigns division based on your configured belt and age brackets. You can also add, edit, or remove athletes manually on the day.
How do I export results?
From Director, use the Export PDF option to generate print-ready PDFs of bracket sheets, division results, and championship standings. Export at any point during competition or after your final match.
